2 Second Warning

Updated: Aug 18, 2019

Listen up, kids, I simply cannot stress this one enough. And yes, I’m pretty sure I’ve said that before but well, let’s just take it as everything I say is pretty damn important. So take notes.

The biggest flaw your website can have is not grabbing the viewer by the balls and fast. I’m talking within the first two to three seconds. If your plan is to lead off with a paragraph about how you became a kitten whisperer. You’re dead before they even see that you’ve been featured in Us Magazine. If you plan on just plopping some great looking mountainous photos in the hero banner of your home page and call it good. You’re dead.

Why?

Because humans have the attention span of a gnat. It’s estimated that you have literally 2-4 seconds to grab their attention and when you don’t, short of adding a pop up about free blowjobs, you’re site is not going to convert into anything but wasted money.

SO you come out swingin'. Take it to the mattresses. Make it personal. Make it slap them in the face like an old gym sock filled with rotten sardines. And do it straight out of the gate. NO paragraphs. NO long-winded descriptions. NO cute gifs of cats. NO. Tell them how YOU will help them with X, Y, Z. WHY they need you. Hook. Line. Sinker.
